Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and volpair Ltd (“volpair”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17319288, with its registered office at Suite 10, Capital House, 61 Amhurst Road, London E8 1LL, United Kingdom. These Terms govern your use of the volpair mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using volpair, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use volpair

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and not barred from using the Service under applicable law.
• You must not have been previously banned from volpair.
• You may hold only one account, and it is personal to you. You may not transfer it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly at support@volpair.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. How volpair works

volpair connects padel players in two modes: Spark (dating) and Partner (finding people to play padel with). You choose your mode at sign-up and can change it at any time; running both modes at once (“Both”) is a Plus feature. Matches, conversations and notifications are organised by mode.

We use the information you provide, including your self-rated padel level, play style, availability and “who do you want to meet” preference, together with limited location data to suggest players and calculate a compatibility score (the “volpair Score”). Your level is self-declared until refined by synced match data, and you agree to represent it honestly. We do not guarantee that you will match with anyone, that any match is suitable, or that any interaction will lead to a particular outcome.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, text and other content you post (“Your Content”). You grant volpair a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and use Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

5. Rules of conduct

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, defame, or harm other users;
• post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading content;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity or age;
• solicit money, advertise, spam, or use the Service for commercial purposes;
• use the Service for anything illegal, including in relation to minors;
• scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security.

6. Safety

volpair does not conduct criminal background checks on users. You are responsible for your own interactions. Please follow our Safety Centre guidance, meet in public, and use the in-app Report and Block tools if anyone breaks the rules. Reports are reviewed by our team; we keep a record of reports and blocks and may act on them, including removing accounts.

7. Subscriptions & payments

Some features, such as running Spark and Partner at the same time (“Both”), require volpair Plus. We may offer free trials or promotional periods (for example, a trial when you join); when a trial ends, Plus features stop unless you subscribe, but your account, matches and conversations are kept. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are also subject to their terms. Billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds are described in our Subscription & Refund Terms.

8. Suspension & termination

You can stop using volpair and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or where necessary to protect users or comply with the law. Where appropriate and lawful, we will give you notice.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including your statutory rights as a consumer).

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, volpair is not liable for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use volpair after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This does not affect your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
